Deborah S. Brooke recognized for professional excellence in special education
BARTLESVILLE, OK, April 13, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ --Deborah S. Brooke, Teacher at Hoover Elementary School of Bartlesville Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Backed by nearly three decades of professional experience, Deborah S. Brooke is a practiced expert in the field of special education. Now in her seventh year at Hoover Elementary School, she teaches students with severe learning disabilities in pre-kindergarten through the fifth grade. She develops individualized curricula and helps each student reach customized goals, conducts portfolio assessments and assists multiple handicapped students. To her position, she brings a strong academic background that includes a bachelor of science in education with a concentration in learning disabilities and mentally handicapped education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Ms. Brooke is certified in learning disabilities and mentally handicapped education, in autism and traumatic brain injury and in early childhood and elementary education.
Crediting her success to her religious faith, she will seek to become more involved in ARC classes as she moves forward in her career. Ms. Brooke is the co-founder of the Forgiven Gospel Quartet - a Southern gospel music group - a track meet volunteer and a member of the Special Olympics' Fundraising Committee.
