Books R Us Ltd Donates Books to Disadvantaged Youth and Children in Kenya

Books R Us Ltd has donated five boxes of books to the Foundation for Health and Social Economic Development Africa (HESED). The books will benefit disadvantaged youth and children in Dagoretti, Nairobi, Kenya.

NAIROBI, KENYA, July 01, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- The Foundation for Health and Social Economic Development Africa (HESED) is a Kenyan non-profit organisation addressing problems facing mainly children, women and youth in the context of health, economic and social empowerment integrating cross cutting issues such as HIV/AIDS, human rights and gender equality.

Books R Us Ltd has kindly donated five boxes of books to our organisation containing various guides to nature and people in the East African region as well as several novels, a biology dictionary and other informational books.

The books have been placed at our field office/outreach centre which is located in Ng'ando Village, Dagoretti Division, Nairobi. Apart from being the meeting place for our women and youth groups, it also serves as a library for local children and youth.

Youth and children in this area of Nairobi normally come from very poor backgrounds and have little access to books. Every book the centre receives increases the knowledge of local youth and children, empowering them with greater prospects of a bright future. HESED is therefore very grateful to Books R Us Ltd for their much needed contribution.
