Dr. Laurie St. Gean has been the deputy superintendent for the Southern California Regional Occupational Center (Career Technical Education) for five years

With 26 years of professional experience, Dr. St. Gean attributes her success to a strong work ethic, instilled in her by her mother, also a life-long devoted educator. As deputy superintendent, Dr. St. Gean is in charge of overseeing all facets of the district including: curriculum and instruction; information technology; human resources; fiscal operations; and facilities. Dr. St. Gean has extensive experience as a classroom teacher, high school principal and deputy superintendent in a large urban district.

Dr. St. Gean is a member of the Association of California School Administrators and Phi Delta Kappa International. In 2010, Dr. St. Gean received her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy, from Pepperdine University.
