BARSTOW, CA, April 20, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ --Gloria Pollack-Bradley, Resource Specialist Program Instructor for Barstow Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.
With 34 years of experience as an educator, Ms. Pollack-Bradley prides herself on her ability to motivate students. She now brings her talents to Barstow Unified School District. As resource specialist program instructor, she works with special needs students, creates individual accommodation plans, and assists teachers. In the course of her long teaching career, Ms. Pollack-Bradley taught in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Wyoming and California. She attributes her success and longevity to her love of children and early exposure to disabled relatives and friends, which later inspired her to focus on special education.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Pollack-Bradley manages her own retail store dealing in old books and crafts. She holds a master of education in special education from the University of Pittsburgh, a bachelor of science in elementary education, and an associate of arts from Community College of Allegheny County. She is affiliated with Phi Beta Kappa, and is an active supporter of The Humane Society of the United States and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Away from work, Ms. Pollack-Bradley enjoys spending time with her husband of 26 years. Looking ahead, she plans to retire from education and increase her involvement with nonprofit organizations.
