Deborah Coblentz, MFT Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Deborah Coblentz recognized for steadfast dedication to youth counseling

    LOS ALTOS, CA, June 24, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- Deborah Coblentz, MFT, Psychotherapist, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychology.

Demonstrating specialized knowledge in child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy with emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy and animal-assisted therapy, Deborah Coblentz, MFT, now offers clinical treatment for anxiety and depressive disorders through her private psychotherapy practice. A licensed marriage and family therapist, she assists overachieving and special needs children ranging from early youth to adolescence. She treats performance anxiety and depression as it relates to academic and sport performance issues, as well as offers social cognitive deficit training.

Ms. Coblentz is uniquely qualified to counsel athletes, as she has had previous experience training division one athletes. Her resume is impressive: in 2008, she served as a scholarship fund sponsor for the University of Wisconsin's Athletic Department. She has also served as a committee member for the Community Hope and Sober Events for Teens and maintained philanthropic support for the Los Altos Community Mentors Association. Ms. Coblentz holds a bachelor of science in physical education and coaching and a master of arts in clinical psychology from John F. Kennedy University. For her continued efforts in adolescent mental health, she was named the Consumer Research Council of America's "Top Mental Health Professional" in 2006 and inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Queen of Peace High School in 2008. Moving forward, she will seek to continue experiencing professional growth.

Ms. Coblentz is a member of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, the American Board of Professional Counselors and the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce.
