Social Services Executive Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Gloria Z. Wood has been accepted among the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her sensational work in the Social Services Industry.
CORYDON, IN, August 4, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Gloria Z. Wood has been accepted among the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her sensational work in the Social Services Industry. As Executive Director of Harrison County CASA she has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
The Harrison County Court Appointed Special Advocates Program is an organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children in abused, neglected, and custody cases through the services of specially selected and trained community volunteers. They recruit, train and support CASA volunteers as advocates to get to know the abused or neglected child and determine their needs and what is in the child's best interest for their future.
Harrison County CASA is affiliated with the Indiana State Office of GAL/CASA, which is part of the Indiana Supreme Court, Division of State Court Administration. They are certified by the State Office and are in compliance with the Indiana Supreme Court Program Standards and Code of Ethics for GAL/CASA programs. The organization is also a member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association.
Gloria possesses exceptional expertise in training, budgeting and public relations for the program. During her educational career, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and Public Policy. Gloria serves as Zone President of a Lutheran Missionary Group and is a member of Power Talk International. In the time away from her busy schedule, she greatly enjoys swimming, sewing and reading.
