Connie L. McClure Honored for Accomplishments in Education

Connie L. McClure has been published in School Arts Magazine

    ROCKVILLE, IN, September 23, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- Connie L. McClure, Visual Art Teacher and Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Rockville Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 20 years of professional experience, Ms. McClure's expertise is in oil, watercolor and acrylic painting. At Rockville Elementary School, she teaches visual art classes, and coordinates gifted and talented programs. She is also responsible for incorporating Indiana Department of Education standards into the classroom. She attributes her success to her education and dedication.

Ms. McClure earned a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University. A national board certified teacher, she received an Endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education and an Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Endowment. Ms. McClure serves on the board for the Executive Council of the Art Education Association of Indiana. She has been published in School Arts Magazine. In the future, Ms. McClure hopes to continue advocating for art on the state and national level.
