Patti L. Green to be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

Patti L. Green celebrates four years as the music director of Charles Evans Elementary at Ardmore City Schools

    ARDMORE, OK, January 04, 2011 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- Patti L. Green, Music Director of Charles Evans Elementary at Ardmore City Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in public relations and fundraising.

With four years of experience as the music director of Charles Evans Elementary at Ardmore City Schools, Mrs. Green is responsible for teaching classes including music theory and music appreciation in accordance with Oklahoma state pass objectives, directing the fourth and fifth grade honor choir, and taking students to various musical venues statewide, including the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Mrs. Green is a retired major from the Oklahoma Army National Guard after serving 22 years. She was a medical services supply and logistics officer and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. She became involved in her profession through a career change from the corporate world, and she attributes her success to her work ethic.

Mrs. Green received a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from American Intercontinental University in 2009 and a bachelor of science in elementary education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she graduated with summa cum laude honors. In addition to her formal education, she is a certified early childhood generalist through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. She is a member of the Arbuckle Sunrise Rotary Club, the Oklahoma Education Association, the Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Alpha Chi, The National Association for Music Education, the National Education Association and is a board member for the New Dimensions Literacy Council. She has been named a teacher of the year by Charles Evans Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, and Will Rogers Elementary. In five years, Mrs. Green intends to continue her teaching career, but would like to explore mentoring as an additional venture.
