List of Richmond-Area Safe Trick or Treating & Halloween Events

A list of safe Halloween activities in Richmond, Virginia that are open to the public

RICHMOND, VA, October 12, 2011 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- With many parents known to worry about their children going to strangers' homes or receiving tampered treats, many Richmond community members are organizing safe trick or treating and Halloween events.

One particularly popular trend is organizing "Trunk or Treat" events where parents gather at a central meeting place such as a church or school, decorate the trunks of their cars, and children are supervised as they go from car to car trick or treating. Parents bring their vehicles to decorate onsite and a bag of candy for handing out to trick or treaters.
