Exceptional Educator Graduates To The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Nanette A. McNeill to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry.
LAVONIA, GA, February 17, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Nanette A. McNeill to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry. As the Lead Special Education Teacher for Lavonia Elementary School, as well as throughout her incredible 35 year career, Nanette has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Lavonia Elementary School is an educational establishment which serves students from Kindergarten to 5th grade and has an enrollment of 470 students. In 2007, the school was recognized by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement as a Silver Award Winner for Greatest Gain Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards. Lavonia Elementary is recognized as a Title I Distinguished School and has made AYP eight years in a row.
Nanette is responsible for overseeing 3 Certified Teachers, 4 non-certified staff and all special needs staffing. She is also involved with scheduling for teachers, students and testing. Nanette teaches students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade and provides co-teaching of resource classes.
During her collegiate career, Nanette earned a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia and a 6 Year Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Georgia. She is currently working towards a Doctorate degree in Special Education from Nova University. Nanette is also a choir singer with the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
